The Carbon Regional Aero Club is based at Jake Arner Memorial Airport (22N), we are a membership-driven flying club dedicated to making aviation accessible, enjoyable, and safe.Whether you're looking to get checked out in our aircraft, pursue an additional rating, or complete a Flight Review, we have experienced flight instructors ready to help you reach your goals. About the Club

The Purpose of the Carbon Regional Flying Club is to encourage all types of flying in which members of the Club enjoy the pride and economy of shared aircraft ownership. Members are equal 10% co-owners of a limited liability company. The Membership requires a $5,000 buy in (which can be resold later and likely at a much higher value). Dues are $75 per month. The hourly rate is $130/hr wet for a Garmin 430 IFR equipped Piper Cherokee 160. Further, insurance is included for each member and all aircraft maintenance and annuals are included. This aircraft is hangered. There are absolutely no other costs for this membership or for the use of these planes. Our Aircraft

The Cherokee 160, officially known as the Piper PA-28-160 Cherokee, is a light, single-engine, four-seat aircraft designed for general aviation use. It was first introduced in the early 1960s as part of Piper Aircraft’s PA-28 Cherokee series, which was developed as an affordable and easy-to-fly alternative to Cessna’s high-wing aircraft.

    •    Engine: Lycoming O-320-B2B or similar, producing 160 horsepower

    •    Cruise Speed: ~120 knots (138 mph, 222 km/h)

    •    Range: Approximately 575 nautical miles (1,065 km)

    •    Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW): ~2,150 lbs (975 kg)

    •    Landing Gear: Fixed tricycle configuration

    •    Wings: Low-wing, all-metal construction with a single strutless design

    •    Fuel Capacity: Typically around 50 gallons
